In May 2018 new regulations come into force concerning the way in which organisations
store and use personal data. The regulation is called
“GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION”, commonly shortened to GDPR.,
and is designed to give protection to individuals against their personal data being
made available to third parties.
"Personal data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable person
(referred to as the "data subject").
An "identifiable person" is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in
particular by reference to an identification number, name, address, e-mail address,
or phone number, or to one or more factors specific to his physical, or physiological
The regulation requires that EHHS maintains a secure storage system for personal
data, and also that we adopt practises which prevent distribution of that data. your
personal data will only ever be made available to a third party if you have given
your specific release. EHHS are committed to meeting the requirements of the GDPR.
EHHS will assume that all current members are content that we communicate with you
by using your telephone number(s), postal address, or e-mail address, unless members
instruct us otherwise. Our application form for new members has been amended such
that new members subscribe to this arrangement as being a condition of their membership.
